Erm - this was all that was left of the cakes I made two nights ago. It's taken me until now to 'fess up' about them as I forgot to take pictures so desperate was I to eat them ;) I was longing for something sweet to eat and didn't have anything in, but I did have one egg - it's amazing what you can knock up with things from the cupboard! We didn't even wait for them to cool once out of the oven, wolfing down three each within as many minutes.

  1. Recipe for above buns - to make 12:

    4oz s.r. flour
    4oz butter
    4oz caster sugar
    2 eggs
    1tsp baking powder

    Throw all into a bowl, mix well with an electric whisk, pop into cake cases and bake at 180 for 10 mins! It's that easy.

    TIP: the recipe is simply 'doubles' - double eggs from teaspoons of b.powder, double sugar, butter and flour from eggs.
